
MEET ALBER ELBAZ: Artistic Director, Lanvin
The Moroccan-born, Israeli fashion designer moved to New York in 1987 after graduating from Tel Aviv School of Fashion and Textiles. The 49 year-old designer started his career in mother-of-the-brideĀ apparel and eventually progressed to include jobs with Geoffrey Beene, Guy Laroche and YSL. In 2001, Elbaz was appointed the new creative director for the oldest running couture house in the world, Lanvin (est. 1889).
